About this book
Written in the form of a moving story, set in Jerusalem on the day Jesus was crucified, this is a study of Christianity's central theme - Christ's crucifixion. The book was written in the Islamic world and shows its profound significance for a devout Muslim. The author sees Christ as a great prophet needlessly killed, but the indictment for his death falls not on any race or nation, rather it indicates the failure of collective human conscience and thus speaks to the condition of our own times and to humankind as a community.
