About this book
Jesus taught his followers to pray 'Your kingdom come' - but on another occasion he said, 'The kingdom of God is within you.' What did he mean by 'the kingdom'?
'The kingdom' is a popular subject among evangelical Christians, but confusion abounds as to the definition of 'the kingdom' and what 'kingdom living' really means. Some attach the label 'kingdom' to the revival of signs and wonders today; other think that 'the kingdom' is all about the future.
But God's kingdom is far richer and more significant reality - past, present and future - than these narrow definition allow, argues Martin Goldsmith in this challenging overview. Using his Jewish knowledge of the Old Testament concept of the kingdom, he explores the full richness of the kingdom that John the Baptist heralded and Jesus Christ ushered in, applying his insights to Christian living today.
