About this book
No. 2. The Beginning of History. The Book of Genesis deals with the "beginning times" as the people of Israel saw them from the creation to Israel's own history. Bound up with the acts of God and with the hopes of the future Genesis reveals the involvement of God with man and of man's struggles to respond. Professor Bernhard Anderson offers an illuminating guide to Genesis and its powerful "drama-history" which is no pertinent to any understanding of God's dealing with men.
