About this book

The Reverend Glenys Lewis has been in the forefront of changes for women in the Anglican Chruch in New Zealand for the past 40 years. After spearheading an exhausting 18-month campaign to establishment support for a deaconess training school in New Zealand, Glenys was appointed in 1966 the first head deaconess. Ten years later women were finally accepted into the Anglican priesthood and Glenys Lewis became one of the first women to be ordained.
