About this book
Tyndale Entertainment and TLC Entertainment of Studio City, California, are launching the Kids' Ten Commandments Project, a major initiative to bring God's commandments to the children of the world in a fresh and entertaining way. Using dramatic 2-D and 3-D animation created by top animators from projects at Disney, DreamWorks, Fox, and other leading animation studios, the series features major Hollywood talent, including Jodi Benson, Peter Strauss, Tim Curry, John Schneider, Paul Winfield, and Tom Bosley. Each video also includes original songs written by Pamela Phillips Oland and a dramatic underscore by James Covell. The first episode in the Kids' Ten Commandments series, The Not So Golden Calf, is based on commandmants one and two—“Do not worship any other gods besides me” and “Do not make idols of any kind.” While Moses is up on Mount Sinai, the people of Israel lose faith and are convinced by Hazzaka, the leader of the evildoers, to build and worship a “golden calf.” Hazzaka selects Seth's calf, Jacob, as the “model” for the idol.
