About this book
The New Millennium and the many ways in which it will be celebrated are already the subject of lively debate. Bishop Atkins believes that there will be a crying need for new worship resources for the church to draw on in order to make its own significant contribution. In this new book aimed at clergy and worship leaders, the author examines the millennium's relevance to Christian worship, looks at the roots of worship in Nazareth and Bethlehem, and discovers worship in many different cultural settings. The heart of the book is a substantial resource section containing service outlines, readings, prayers, meditations and new hymns composed especially for the millennium celebrations.
